About Ethereum

Ethereum is a community-built technology that provides access to digital money and data-friendly services. Ethereum is widely considered the second cryptocurrency, after Bitcoin. Still, the two have some big differences. Ethereum is programmable, so it can be used for lots of different cryptocurrencies, even Bitcoin. It is also a marketplace of services, games and apps. Ethereum has paved the way for the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) system, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), and Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs). Ethereum’s native cryptocurrency is ether (ETH).
